First, let us talk about what rogue anti-spyware like Innovagest is and why it is bad. Rogue anti-spyware usually uses scare tactics, through pop-ups, to get you to go to a website to buy a "full version" of the software. These pop-ups are worded in such a way to scare the uninformed computer user, tricking you into thinking this Innovagest software is the only program that can get rid of your infection. Usually these pop-ups start after a Trojan gets on your computer. If you buy the software suggested by the pop-ups, you wind up infecting your computer further with spyware, adware and other malware, possibly opening yourself up to identity theft and outside sources accessing your bank account and personal information. This is why rouge anti-spyware programs like Innovagest are bad.
Once you buy and install the "full version" of the software, it digs in and will not let you use Windows' Add/Remove Programs tool to take the program off your computer. Innovagest will run in the background and take advantage of your computer's vulnerabilities to establish itself. Innovagest will then update itself and install other spyware and malware programs which will eventually bog down your computer to the point that it permanently freezes up.
Innovagest gets even worse. Innovagest isn't just a rogue software program. It is a rogue software developer. The Innovagest malware comes as several different names. Antivirus 2008, Antivirus 2009, SpyDeface, XP Antivirus 2008, and Antivirus XP 2008 are all part of the Innovagest family. This is a company that has dedicated itself to ripping you off and infecting your computer–possibly taking part in identity theft, and definitely taking part in scamming you out of money. If you try to contact the Innovagest company, your email will bounce back to you as "user unknown."
I have worked with computers since I was a child, so I've seen many, many, many malicious programs over the years. These rogue anti-spyware programs really get my blood boiling. Unless you are well informed it is easy to fall into the traps rogue anti-spyware programs like Innovagest set for you. Then you are stuck with spyware, malware, and adware on your computer bogging you down, stealing your information, and possibly permanently harming your computer.
There are solutions out there to remove and protect yourself from Innovagest and the Innovagest family of rogue anti-spyware programs. A good anti-spyware program will remove and protect you from these rogue programs.
How do you tell if you have found a good program or just another scam? First look to see if they have won any legitimate awards. If they have won any awards its highly likely they have won several awards, not just one. Research the awards and make sure the awards are real. After you have found a good anti-spyware program, it will remove all the spyware, adware and malware Innovagest put on your computer and protect your computer from being reinfected.
