Ie Antivirus May be More Harmful Than You Think : Antivirus

Best Registry Cleaner

Going on the internet is becoming more dangerous as the days go by. You may not get robbed at gunpoint like you can on the street, but the way you can get robbed on the internet can be just as bad. It may not be life threatening but it can have a very devastating impact on you if you are left to deal with identity theft. Programs like IE Antivirus are disguising themselves as anti-spyware programs and then bundle themselves with trojans to allow a silent download onto a user's computer. When you go and download something like a free video from some website you may also download the Trojan. Once the trojan is on your computer it will begin to install a "trial" version of IE Antivirus without you ever knowing it. You'll know that IE Antivirus is on your computer when you begin to receive annoying popups that say "NOTICE: Your system is infected and your computer performance is not at the highest level. Full system optimization will greatly increase your computer's performance and prevent data loss". When you go in to install this rogue software you'll encounter more problems than you could have ever imagined with your computer. All of a sudden you Internet Explorer will have a mind of its own and you will get even more errors stating that your computer is full of viruses and your browser will default to the IE Antivirus site.

If these symptoms seem familiar you will want to make sure you remove this software from your computer as soon as possible. The longer it is on your computer the more the program can track your information and sell it to hackers. In addition you system performance will be dramatically decreased due to the amount of resources this software requires. Below are some steps you can take to remove it manually.

To open the Windows Task Manager, use the combination of CTRL+ALT+DEL or CTRL+SHIFT+ESC.

Your best bet is to go for the long term solution of investing in reliable and legitimate anti-spyware software. Something like that can prevent programs like IE Antivirus from ever being downloaded onto your computer. Removing the files above is very temporary because it may not be long before another similar program finds its way onto your computer.
